This funding will support the work of the institutes’ scientists in hope of discovering innovative approaches to prevent, diagnose, and treat breast and ovarian cancers. It will also support breast health education by providing classes to the community at large with a direct focus on new immigrants to encourage mammography, self-screening along with workshops on health, diet and exercise to improve their chances of survival.
